December meeting will once again be our Holiday meeting, with socially distant socializing. So if you’re comfortable, please come out and join us! The meeting will be on December 1st at 8pm but set-up will start at 6:30pm. We will be glad to see everyone there and catch-up
Some differences for this particular meeting
-it will not be live-streamed (no presentation to stream)
-no food will be served and please NOT bring any food or drinks with you to be consumed in the hall.
-we will need a few people to stay after the meeting to disinfect the chairs and tables
-You will need to fill out a questionnaire / contact form upon entry (even if you filled one out last time)
– Masks must be worn at all times
-proof of double vaccination must be shown (even if you showed yours last time)
Enough grinch-y-ness
What will be happening:
- a silent auction so please bring items to be auctioned off (or money to buy new treasures). All proceeds of your item will go to you, the donor
- tables to sell some things you’ve made or collected. All proceeds go to the donor Note: tables are free but MUST be booked in advance, contact information for reservation is in the strata data. Spaces are limited.
In the spirit of gift giving during the holidays the club is:
- collecting food to donate to the Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities Food Bank Program. See the strata data for preferred items.
- doing a Shoebox project for a women’s shelter. Please bring extra gift wrap, ribbon, tape, glue stick and decorative items plus a few items for the shoeboxes to be donated to Women’s’ shelters this holiday season. A suggested list of items to include is in this month’s Strata Data (see page 4).
