Wonders of the Earth Show Countdown!

5 Days until Wonders of the Earth Gem Show. 

The Show runs September 24-25.  Saturday 10-6, Sunday 11-5  at Don Montgomery Community Centre – 2467 Eglinton Ave. East, between Midland and Kennedy .  It has convenient access from Kennedy Subway Station. Meet our Vendor – Earthy Girl Design was  established 20 years ago, which encompasses a wide range of gemstones and vintage beads, hand-made jewellery and Native American jewellery in sterling silver. Specializing in turquoise.  Always looking for the unusual or different, Earthy Girl’s assortment is continuously evolving. Member of the Toronto Bead Society and a Gemologist from the Canadian Gemological Association, FCGmA.

Answer to previous Quiz:   Any magnetic attraction in blue Sapphire proves the Sapphire is natural.  Many natural blue Sapphires contain “surplus” iron not  , while synthetic blue Sapphires of the flame fusion type never contain enough iron to cause magnetic attraction. 

(The question was: You see two blue sapphires.  One stone is showing some attraction to the Rare Earth Elements Magnet the other one is totally inert.  Why?  What does it mean? )
