Perovskite, a Critical Geomaterial

In this presentation, Derek Leung, will discuss the concept of critical minerals through the lens of the fascinating perovskite materials, which have applications from solar cells to understanding the depths of the Earth.
Derek Leung is an Assistant Professor in Critical Minerals at the University of Regina. He has been a member of this club for 23 years and previously served as the Membership Director from 2012 to 2024. He has also been an important contributor to our club’s show by helping with the Learning Centre.
Also note for our December meeting we will be having our Potluck, silent auction, members tables and fundraiser for the food bank and shoeboxes filled with gifts to a women’s shelter.
