Soapstone Carving Workshop – Session A – Sat. Sept. 22 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Have you ever wanted to say “I made this”?  You can carve a wolf, orka,cat,turtle or a bear. The instructor will provide a roughed out shape, tools,sandpaper ,water and will show you how to transform this shape into a masterpiece to take home. Finished carvings will be oiled and made ready to take home in their very own bag. This workshop is scheduled for 90 minutes but everyone will be able to complete their piece before leaving.  Safety gear will be available.

Since we need at least 20 participants during the weekend ,in order to run this activity ,we ask that people preregister and prepay by September 15 at midnight

Location:  Don  Montgomery Community Centre ,2467 Eglinton Ave. E.  Scarborough,beside the Kennedy subway station

Time :             Saturday  September 22    A) 11 am-12:30   or

OTHER AVAILABLE TIMES: 

B)   1:30 pm-3  pm

OR    Sunday September 23     C)   noon to 1:30  or             D) 2:30- 4 pm

To bring if you wish : an old towel to work on and to collect the dust  , old tooth brush for cleaning excess dust off your caving
